Applications : WCK-4234 is a potent β-lactamase inhibitor. WCK-4234 inhibited class A, C and D β-lactamases with unprecedented k2/K values against OXA carbapenemases. WCK-4234 inhibited class A, C and D β-lactamases with unprecedented k2/K values against OXA carbapenemases. WCK-4234 formed highly stable acyl-complexes via mass spectrometry. WCK-4234 is a novel β-lactamase inhibitor that demonstate potent cross-class inhibition and clinical studies targeting MDR infections are warranted.
